This pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject.

I'm not a fan of pie charts (my consulting experience taught me bar graphs are much more explanatory) but here is the exception that proves the rule. Can a brutha get an Amen from the congregation?! Love it. Love. It.
True, in the world of parenting a hetero mom and dad, on average, likely ranks above same-sex parents. But same-sex parents who love kids enough to adopt rank far above many hetero couples and I would say most single parents.
Anyhow, prop 8 wasn't about adoption, it was about gay marriage. If the concern is that prop 8 is the another crack in the armor, then I get it. Don't agree with it, but get it.
I have never met a committed gay couple that wasn't happy, stable, normal, balanced, loving and most of all...compassionate to those less understood in our society, like those in foster care! HAVE YOU? DO YOU HAVE GAY FRIENDS? This is the best part of allowing to consenting American adults to marry. PS. Hey there kiddo, can’t wait until turkey day!
I saw the screen name "hot momma" and I knew it couldn't be anyone else; I'm bringing some primo vino for you crazy kids so prepare yourselves.
On the topic at hand, I think society will have the time to address the inherent problems of same sex parents after we've taken care of abusive parents, incompetent parents, rude parents, stupid parents and racist parents; let's prioritize this issue, people.
On the editing tip: I've been asked that everyone here please disregard hot momma's inadvertent use of the word "to" instead of "two"; apparently she had just finished shaking some sense into her baby girl and her typing skills suffered as a result. Kids, huh?
Brain Rage is the home of James B. Webb, intellectual elitist, political junkie and Southern food addict. He grew up in Texas but he got to California as soon as he could.

Adoption would naturally come next and you have expressed in the past that this might be a little less than preferable for the children...
just reminding.
