Hitching Your Posts
It was recently brought to my attention that people couldn't post comments without having a gmail account. The settings have been changed and now anyone may post their thoughts. My apologies. (The picture above is of the Intihuatana -"Hitching Post of the Sun" in Machu Picchu, Peru).
I am just wondering if we will ever see that "hitching post" in real life. I think we should be hiking right now if all went as planed. Once again it seems Jeremy isn't the most reliable when it comes to booking plane tickets.
ReplyDeleteI recently heard that the whole "township"of Manchu picchu was built as just a vacation spot for the king. Of course he brought his whole entourage, but other than for those few weeks a year, it was as deserted as a ghost town. Kind of a lot of elbow greese for just the King's time share. Yet, I am forever grateful they took the time, so that we can enjoy it's sheer beauty in the present day. (what a king.....eh.)
Still not too old, pal. My travelin shoes are feeling kind of dusty; may have to go somewhere soon. Wish I was a king...
