"This is the type of propaganda you would see in Stalin's Russia or Kim Jong Il's North Korea. I never thought the day would come when I'd see it here in America. This is the type of fanaticism Republicans are up against as we fight to stop the Obama Democrats' radical leftist transformation of America." -Michael Steele, in a fundraising letter, referring to a video of schoolchildren singing about President Obama.
These people are absolutely shameless and they obviously don't give a shit about this country or its people.

Once again, as a radical leftist, I am disgusted by the attempt to cast what I consider to be President Obama's disappointingly right wing views as 'radical' or 'socialist.' Color me surprised.
The fact that Steele is the one making the claim is not surprising either, despite the fact that Steele's personal politics and the president's are not terribly far apart. Disappointing, but surprising. Moderate Republicans have been the public hitmen for the conservatives at least since Spiro Agnew became Nixon's running mate.
Kind of disillusions one, sometimes, though.
I missed the kids singing praises to Obama! Is this on YouTube? (Or is this just another stupid GOP'er -- is there any other kind -- making this shit up?)
Here's some coverage of the song, Tim. I'm sure you'll disregard the written right-wing commentary on the site.
