President Barack Obama descends the stairs of the stage from which he led the memorial service for the 13 people killed in last week's massacre at Fort Hood, Texas.
This has indeed been a sad time. I'm surprised the right-wing hasn't criticized the president's remarks but maybe for once they recognize the inappropriateness of such.
I do feel enormous sympathies for family, colleagues and those who were wounded, and of course, the ones who died. This really shouldn't happen in our country. I feel someone - or a group of someones - along the line dropped the ball.

It's things like this that make you stop and think.
My condolences to your home state, and to the people of America.
Thanks, magpie. Hope you're doing well, mate.
