Football Player Celebrates By Playing Soccer

I have a buddy from Croatia who always says, "You call it 'football' but you carry it in your hands the whole time". Maybe this will appease him (even if it's Canadian):

Rugby is also called football but the ball is carried and thrown most of the time. I like all codes of football. Even yours.

I don't like ball and bat sports (yawn), but I will see my first pro-baseball game in Tokyo in about 8 weeks. It's a good thing when the man with the bat is running around the square as fast as he can, but jogging slowly means something really good has just happened, right? That's about all I know.

As much as I cap on baseball for being boring I do enjoy going to the ball park, magpie. You can't beat peanuts, hot dogs and beers with your friends, although the experience might vary slightly in Tokyo. You'll have to let me know what you think of the whole enterprise when you return, amigo.

As much as you and I disagree about certain things one L, Texan upbringings will always bind us on some level and a healthy appreciation for that game is one of them.
