Drunken Safety Dance At The Palms, Las Vegas

No, not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. We didn't know this kid but he was quite entertaining:

TDS: Bernie Goldberg Fires Back

I was watching The O'Reilly Factor a few days ago when Bernie Goldberg went off on Jon Stewart and at the time thought to myself, "I know Stewart is going to respond to this but I wonder what he'll say?" As always, he didn't disappoint:

Michael Jackson Fingering

No, no, no, it's not what you think (if you're thinking of the late King of Pop digitally diddling some trusting young fans tipsy on Jesus Juice) but if you're thinking of a chick on a Brazilian talent show ambidextrously continuing with today's apparent eighties dance theme then yes, it's exactly what you think:

Rarely Seen Predator 2 Shuffle

Yes, it's going to be a video kind of day so just strap in and enjoy, ya'll. As I first started watching this one I thought, "My God, that really looks like the set from Predator 2!" until I saw the outfits, and then I realized that there's no way that anyone went to the trouble of recreating them just for this little dance video. A two decades old blast from the past with a Glover cherry on top. Slightly surreal, to say the least:

Frog Leg Dance

This is a bit creepy:

Apparently since the legs are fresh all of the cells in them are still intact and the biochemical machinery is still working. The unused ATP molecules in the cells act as a source of energy for the muscles and because the salt contains sodium ions it creates a voltage difference as the ions cross the nerve cell membrane. This voltage difference duplicates the effect of nerve impulses from the brain, causing the muscles to contract and relax. Still creepy though...

I Elfed Myself

If I'm going to have Christmas crammed down my throat for the entire month of December I figured I'd just embrace it (to a point):

You can elf your own self here.

Patrick Swayze, RIP

Actor Patrick Swayze died yesterday of pancreatic cancer, which from what I hear is one of the worst, most painful cancers one can get. He was 57 years old. Swayze became a star after appearing in the eighties chick flicks Ghost and Dirty Dancing but I'll always remember him for his work in the eighties kick-ass flicks Road House and Point Break, both of which I've seen probably a hundred times each.

To lighten the mood, here's part of a classic SNL sketch that he and Chris Farley did together years ago:

Who would have guessed when this was made that they'd both be gone this soon? Sad.

RIP, Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, the undisputed King of Pop, died yesterday at the age of 50. Thriller was the very first album (cassette tape) I ever bought when I was a kid and I completely wore that thing out listening to it so much. Just as with OJ Simpson, I've found myself torn on the subject of Jackson and his life of late. I mean, I loved the running plays and the music but the murdering and the child-molesting? Not so much. Jackson obviously had plenty of personal demons though and while they don't excuse some of his more outrageous lifestyle choices they do go a long way toward explaining them. I'm listening to Billie Jean as I write this in memoriam. Moonwalking off, stage left...

McCain vs. Obama Dance-off

It's on:

[Update: It appears that the original video I embedded has been removed so I replaced it with the more reliable YouTube format. Enjoy.]
