"You want to know who the biggest hypocrite in the world is? The biggest hypocrite in the world is the person who believes in the death penalty for murderers and not for homosexuals. Hypocrite. The same God who instituted the death penalty for murderers is the same God who instituted the death penalty for rapists and for homosexuals - sodomites, queers! That’s what it was instituted for, okay? That’s God, he hasn’t changed. Oh, God doesn’t feel that way in the New Testament … God never “felt” anything about it, he commanded it and said they should be taken out and killed." -Pastor Steven L. Anderson, Faithful Word Baptist Church.
Yeah, I'm sure Jesus would have been totally down with this kind of hateful bullshit. I feel sorry for anyone, straight or gay, who is amongst this man's congregation. Is it any wonder that atheism has been steadily growing in popularity in American society?

Religion is going the way of the Republican party JBW. Nuts like this Pastor Anderson are driving sane people away from the church. Soon all they will have left is the bigots, homophobes and idiots the right calls it's base.
Just more of the moral degradation of this good country, T101. If we can't trust God to tell us who to hate, who can we trust?
And Baptist leaders are wondering why the membership rolls are dropping.
That would be a great blog post JBW. Asking God who we're supposed to hate.
There's a reason I say you're the best blogger of them all old chap.
Continued success to you.
As a good Texan you should be the first person to know that queers are the most dangerous and nefarious foe that Americans face. Homosexuals cannot be trusted, James. They woo you in with their trendy clothes, pleasant smiles and impeccable hygiene right before they steal your babies and take over your government.
"Steers, not queers!" We've found our new mantra, one L. A Texan equivalent to the old "It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!" classic.
