I wouldn't say that I'm a man of steel hater or anything but a lot of these sentiments really do ring true. Something for the Fanboys.

Of all the major comic book heroes, I've always been the least interested in Superman. I was REAL interested in Lois & Clark as a kid, but I think that was more about Teri Hatcher than anything else.
Superman is a good plot device for other comic heroes; Batman uses him to his advantage all the time. But yes, he doesn't have much depth as a character.
And I tell ya, I'm still interested in Teri Hatcher, we just haven't met yet.
My biggest problem with the Superman fable has to be his outfit. I mean if he is so "Super" why does he have to prove it to everyone with those flashy tights? Wouldn't you think a little humility would go a long way. I would love it if he flew around saving the world in a nice pair of dungarees. Possibly a nice boot-cut would be less austintatious. That must be why I like Wolverine so much.
Honestly my disdain for Clark comes from my childhood and is not rational, but that's a story for another blog. (like DR. Laura ) lol
One of the explanations from way back in the day is that his adoptive mother made his suit from the Kryptonian blankets he was swaddled in, but they never explain how she was able to cut and sew cloth that deflects bullets.
