I was a kid in the theater when Vader said "No Luke. I am your father" - and it was one the biggest OMG moments I can remember in any film. Everyone in the cinema sensed it wasn't a lie and we were all shocked. It's still a powerful moment all these years later. But there was no story-based necessity for Leia to have been Luke's sister, and the delivery of the revelation was weak.
Plus you can imagine Han's anxiety. Here is (apparently) the ONLY looker in the entire galaxy who isn't a na'vi with head tentacles... and she seems hot for his best friend bar the wookie.
Brain Rage is the home of James B. Webb, intellectual elitist, political junkie and Southern food addict. He grew up in Texas but he got to California as soon as he could.
