ObamaCare Is RomneyCare 2.0

So not only did President Obama succeed at implementing his first major domestic policy agenda by utilizing the spirit of bipartisanship but he's also simultaneously hamstrung his most likely 2012 rival within his own voting base in the process. Remember what I said about him being a chess master of the highest caliber (and yes, I still say it a bit hyperbolically)? It's strategy rather than tactics, and the Republicans still fail to recognize the difference.

Inadvertent benefit or deliberate strategy, this is pretty brilliant on his part. However, as a likely Obama repeat-voter, this could mean that a better (read: younger)Republican contender could gain some ground and put up a strong fight in that next election.

I'm looking at the field one L and I don't see anyone who has a chance. Their moderates won't get the Repub nomination and their extremists won't appeal to enough voters outside their base. The perils of insisting upon an ideological test for party membership.
