I heard that quote on the radio. I'm not sure what point she was trying to make, but I do like the statement. It's certainly an interesting question we should all be asking about both candidates.
I also heard this and thought it was a good quote:
"In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers.
And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change."
I know not enough details about Obama or McCain to judge this statement's overall credibility, but it's definitely a good quote.
We certainly should be asking this. Policy proposals are the first thing responsible candidates should be producing to be taken seriously by the electorate. Despite the caucophany from the right accusing him of being an empty suit and just high-minded rhetoric, Obama is all about substance and policy. Quotes are clever and make for good sound bites but check out their sites and judge for yourself.
