I'm not exactly sure where Batman jumped the shark, but I'll put it on the casting of either Clooney or Schwarzenegger.
I'd say they nuked the fridge when nipples appeared on the batsuit.
I figured that's what you would pinpoint, but I can't blame the failure of a franchise on nipples. Let's face it, there's never been a movie made with George or Arnold where you stop realizing that you're watching George or Arnold. Not even O Brother.
I'm just saying that the franchise became a gay circus at some point, and I link that gayness directly to the nippled batsuit.
