Didn't realize Queen Liz is a munchkin.
She's like something out of the shire from Chronicles of Narnia, huh?
It's funny, the queen is technically still our head of state pending such time as we get around to formally making ourselves a republic, so I'm used to seeing images of her poised and regal, which makes her look taller than she actually is. She DOES turn 83 this month, however... and age diminishes people, while the Obamas are tall.
Take Michelle out of that picture and the effect is not so marked. Michelle Obama has so much presence. Your prez did well to score her for his missus, seriously.
Michelle Obama, while not my type, is quite striking VZ, and I always forget that the Queen is still your sovereign down under. As an American that just seems so strange to me...
Do you think the queen has a slight resemblence to Grandma?
I'd say more than a passing resemblance, although she probably has better manners.
