After his own single mediocre term and W's two term pooch-screw, Bush Sr. has some political prognostications for the son who was supposed to be the family's rising star all along:
His son hasn't left the White House yet, but former president George H. W. Bush is already thinking about the next Bush who might one day move in. The elder Bush says his oldest son, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has all the qualities necessary to occupy the Oval Office.Gee dad, ya think? Translation: "right now"=the next 4-8 years, "bad time"=my incompetent son has simultaneously destroyed the Bush name and the Republican brand for the foreseeable future, and "enough Bushes"=W. I'll make this prediction right now: Sarah Palin will be president of the United States before this country elects another Bush to the White House. Americans can be pretty stupid but we aren't that stupid.“I’d like to see him run, I’d like to see him be president some day,” the nation’s 41st chief executive declared on “Fox News Sunday.” He is “as qualified and as able as anyone I know in the political scene."
However, the senior Bush acknowledged, “Right now is probably a bad time, because we've got enough Bushes in there.”

You kids may be too young to remember this melodrama from back in the day.
Wrong family to make a retard joke in front of, but I agree that it's a funny photo.
The movie 'W' sure made Jeb seem to be the prodigal son with some flying colors. We just saw this. Did you ever watch it?
I agree; Grace, I failed to notice your comment earlier but know this now: I will not condone nor will I tolerate jokes at the expense of the mentally handicapped on this site. Rant and rave and pimp your religious views if you so choose but if you want to make fun of people, do it at the expense of those who deserve it and/or can defend themselves.
One L, I did see W a while back: I thought he came off in a sympathetic way, as someone who tries to be a good person but is clearly out of his depth when given the opportunities and responsibilities his family and fortune have afforded him.
DLB, that tune is vaguely familiar but I don't recognize it's significance here: please elucidate for us young'uns.
So let me make sure I have this straight, Grace: you weren't mocking the mentally handicapped, just laughing at how they look? Classy.
The last thing I am is politically correct, Grace. But yes, I am pompous, arrogant, and self-righteous... and judging you. I've been judging you ever since we met; you haven't noticed?
And yes, I have spent time with and associated freely with the mentally handicapped: my youngest sister has Down Syndrome and I love her unconditionally. Don doesn't like people to curse on his site, I don't like people to make fun of the handicapped on mine.
If that's too hard a rule for you to follow, feel free to stop coming here. Now settle down.
im(h)o, "grace explosion" should consider & reconsider until she (?) decides to change her moniker. so far, again in my opinion, she fails to exemplify a single quality of grace in any correspondence shown here.
