I once saw a pair of youngish political pundits, with whom I heartily agree with on most political issues, make fun of McCain for not being able to raise his hands with full dexterity. I was sickened. That was out of line. Which only goes to underline the fact that even your own side... can do wrong.
And going further with that theme: the hardline conservative side of politics, whom I detest, push the notion that America is criticized more by American progressives than are America's enemies.
For one thing.. it's a given that the bad guys are bad. Yeah? It's what WE do that we can influence by discussion and debate.
Secondly...I do not view that accusation as being generally true anyway. Just more huff and puff indignation designed to frighten the little piggies that the Right thinks moderates are.
Not going to miss Cheney. Not one little bit.
I hope he falls asleep in the bath sometime and wakes up with a fright. And NO, for the idiot element that blows though here, that does NOT mean I hope he drowns...
and not just because it would be a waste of water.
